The engagement

What the work
can involve.

We tailor the scope to the decision you need to make, the available information and the project stage.

  1. 01

Review survey levels, retained heights, boundary information and loads adjacent to the proposed wall.

  2. 02

Identify investigation, design, neighbouring-property and temporary-works requirements.

  3. 03

Scope excavation, founding conditions, wall construction, drainage, waterproofing and backfill to the issued details.

  4. 04

Coordinate inspections, access, protection, monitoring where specified and reinstatement.

Agreeing responsibilities

Wall systems, footing dimensions, excavation support and underpinning require site-specific design. A cheaper wall type is an option to assess, not a substitute for that design.

The output

Defined work.
Useful deliverables.

  • Retaining and boundary work package
  • Design-query, access and sequencing register
  • Measured quantities and specialist RFQ requirements

What to bring to the first discussion

Boundary survey, finished levels, structural wall details, geotechnical information and information on adjacent buildings or infrastructure.

You can start with an outline of the information you have. We will agree the document list and transfer method before you send confidential material.

Working together

A scope you can review.

The proposal identifies tasks, deliverables, inputs, dependencies, exclusions and pricing. Open questions remain visible so the next decision is informed.
